Listed below are just a few of the dive sites we will visit.
Andros Barrier Reef
This world famous reef has it all. On the leeward (land) side are very good dive and snorkeling
areas. On the Windward (ocean) side are excellent dives ranging all the way down to 6000 feet
(just kidding). There are truly lots of ledges here (from 30 to 90 feet) and you will find just about
every specie of fish that inhabit the Bahamas. Different types of coral is abundant on both sides
of the reef. Many Pelagics are also sighted. Many Blue Holes are located on this coastline. There
are also a few modern wrecks in shallow areas.
Exumas
Amberjack Reef - This reef is a 45 foot patch reef that has a lot of shark activity. Here you
will
find Caribbean Reef Sharks, Nurse Sharks, and very large Black Grouper. These are friendly
sharks of course!
Austin Smith Wreck - This is a 90 foot Bahamian Defense Force Cutter that sank in 1995.
This is an intact wreck lying in 60 feet of water.
Dog Rocks - One of the best dive sites in the Bahamas, this reef starts at 35 feet down to 50
feet before dropping off into the Exuma Sound. There are a fantastic amount of fish here. Black
Coral is abundant as well as Orange Elephant Ear and Tube Sponges. Many Pelagics frequent
this reef.
Pillar Wall - An excellent wall dive. Lots of caves and crevices. A permanent colony of Yellow
Jawfish inhabit the reef.
Wax Cut Drift - This is a reef in 30 feet and the current will drift you along at 2 knots. While
you are drifting
you will see rays, sharks, eels and numerous other fish. The density of the Staghorn, Pillar and
Finger Coral is simply amazing. We do several other drift dives that are similar in beauty while in
the Exumas.
Whale Shark Reef - Guess what visits this reef in the winter months, yes the amazing Whale
Sharks come around frequently on this reef. These sharks are very timid and divers
have been known to "ride" them much like dolphins.
Our dive sites are chosen according to passenger needs. We try our very best to give
you what you ask for. Something specific you would like, then just ask.
